Rural Innovation Network

How Networking Strengthens Rural Community Development
SRDI’s Rural Innovation Network bridges the isolation of rural communities by providing opportunities for peer to peer learning and authentic relationship building.

This developing initiative will connect rural communities, particularly those across the South, around economic sustainability issues for:

  • Peer learning exchange
  • Access to relevant innovators and innovations
  • Training opportunities for rural leaders
  • Increasing partnerships across program strategies (philanthropy, policy,
    economic options, and grassroots support)

What We Offer Rural Leaders and Communities:
This will be accomplished through

  1. the creation of an on-line community that will bridge isolation and distance,
  2. in-person opportunities for deeper conversation, training, and exchange – conferences, workshops, and strategy sessions
